Harden - a budget-friendly home cafe

I believe students nowadays are looking for another place to eat other than the school canteen. They want something that is inexpensive yet they would enjoy the food they are eating. Harden Home Cafe is the perfect option for budget-conscious students. They are located beside Ateneo De Davao Grade School in Matina, Davao City. They serve fresh, rich-brewed coffees, espresso beverages, and variety of food items at a very affordable price.

LOCATION

It is just beside Battleground, the first dining and gaming restaurant in Davao City. Read my review here. They have wooden tables and chairs which suits their "feel at home" ambiance. It's well ventilated and well lighted with glass walls. They have a big flat screen smart tv that streams music videos for the customers to enjoy.

FOOD

NACHOS AND CHEESE (P60) - A simple serving of nachos with mayo, cheese, and olives. I actually like this.

RHUM PORKCHOP (P75) - Just like my mom's homecooked porkchop. Well marinated and tender. Served with iced tea.

CHICKEN IN MORNAY SAUCE (P65) - The chicken is tender and has light breading. The mornay sauce compliments the chicken so well. Served with iced tea.

SQUID RINGS (P65) - Squid is not gummy. Served with iced tea.

FISH IN CREAMY BUTTER SAUCE (P75) - Served with iced tea. A big and soft fish fillet with minimal breading.

CHEESEBURGER (P70) - Buns are lightly toasted. It's a simple cheeseburger but the ingredients are fresh. The patty is 100% pure beef, seasoned right, and tender. This is good for sharing too.

FRENCH FRIES (P50) and MINI CHEESEBURGER (P45) - Perfect combination.

HARDEN FRAPPE (P75 Small / P130 Regular) - One of their signature drinks. Students will love this. It's sweet and creamier than your usual coffee shop frappe.

GREEN TEA MILKSHAKE (P120) - Creamy green tea milkshake.

HOT COFFEE (P45 - P99)

SERVICE

The staff was accommodating. They cater to your needs immediately. The owners were also generous. Most of their staff are relatives so you can really feel the closeness among them.
